Some people think Evita, some think Maradona, others think Tango and mouth-watering steaks. Whatever association you think of when Argentina is mentioned, all can agree that this is one of the most incredibly diverse and beautiful countries on earth. Our journey to this amazing country will take us from the majesty of Patagonia and incredible Andes mountain range to Iguazu Falls, the largest waterfall in the world, and end it all with the last Tango in Buenos Aires. Wild Guanabana invites you on a journey of a lifetime to Argentina.

Day 1 to 3: Ice Ice Baby
We arrive to this impossibly stylish & cosmopolitan capital Buenos Aires and have the evening free to get some rest or experience the city's evening charm. From here we fly to Calafate and head to the Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the world’s natural wonders. This ice field is the world's third largest reserve of fresh water. Witness the power of nature as you see large chunks of ice collapse off the glacier rim and splash into the waters below. You even get a chance to gear up and walk onto the glacier itself with the assistance of our professional guides.
Day 4 to 7: The Magnificent Fitz Roy
In Chalten we hike through lush green valleys, stunning lakes and up amidst incredible scenery to finally gain a vantage point and set eyes on Mount Fitz Roy which is considered as the world's finest granite mountain. On day 6 we get a chance to relax in this amazingly picturesque village. If you're still feeling adventurous, great options await from horseback riding to more mouth-watering walks in the area.

Day 8 and 9: The last Tango!
It's time to take in the charm of Bunos Aires. We tour the most charming parts of the city from Avenida de Mayo to the Casa Rosada, the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Cabildo. We then explore San Telmo, the best kept historical neighborhood and the oldest district of Buenos Aires and La Boca, the birthplace of Boca Juniors and Maradona before heading to Recoleta, one of the city’s glamorous spots with its elegant boutiques, restaurants and cemetery of Recoleta, the resting place of Eva Peron (Evita). Then the trip lives up to its name as we head to one of Buenos Aires most iconic local Tango haunts where you will receive instruction on this seductive dance, after which you can try out your new learned skills.

OPTIONAL - Day 10 to 12 : Iguazu Falls
If you are staying on, you get the chance to witness the amazing and majestic beauty of Iguzu falls, the largest waterfall in the world, from both sides of the border. In Brazil you're further away so you get to appreciate some amazing aerial views of this natural wonder. On the Argentine side you're constantly walking on the rim of the waterfall and feel that you are actually part of it. The amazing and strong sound of the water crashing below fills one with awe as we are surrounded throughout the day in this amazing realm of beauty. Look out for rainbows! Optional: a Helicopter ride over the falls or a boat ride to get even under to the falls!
Check out experiences from previous Guanabanas
Almost six months passed since I’ve been on the “Last Tango in Argentina” trip. It’s time to plan my next vacation. But now I noticed a problem! Wild Guanabana raised the bar so high that I can’t find something topping, or even close to, that last experience.
When I first heard of Wild Guanabana through my cousin, I went on the website to have a quick look but stayed there for hours, going from one page to the other, already discovering new places and meeting new people. I needed to disconnect and was dreaming of traveling differently so I called Omar and told him I had some time in July. And the adventure began!
My obsession with exploring Nepal and the Himalayas dates back to many years ago. I was in the art business in Honolulu doing a show with an artist from China. His paintings of Tibetan and Nepalese everyday life were absolutely mesmerizing. He had realist paintings of women dressed in traditional attire working in the fields of the Himalayan villages. To the present day, those images captivated me and stayed in my mind.
We are proud to be the Middle East & North Africa's first Carbon Neutral Travel Company.

How do we do it?
At Wild Guanabana we understand that by choosing to travel we create a carbon footprint. As an ethical and responsible travel company, we place a lot of effort not only in offsetting all our own travel and office emmissions but most importantly designing trips that are of low carbon impact. Everything we cannot reduce on the ground and airfare (when booked through us) we will offset through an energy efficient stoves project in Kenya. Every traveller gets a certificate post-travel to that effect.
What does offsetting mean anyway?
It's a way of reducing your ecological impact by 'neutralizing' the impact of your carbon footprint. Actions associated with travel amount to around a third of greenhouse gas emissions worldwide. Carbon offsetting offers a solution to reduce the impact of your travel by purchasing carbon credits that are invested in activities that reduce CO2. While this doesn't erase all of the environmental impact of flying, it does serve to help reinvest into the planet and contribute to activities which help its conversation. For more information on Carbon offsetting read more from our partners ERCC Carbon and Sustainable Travel International.
