Student Adventures

Not just another brick in the wall... Wild Guanabana’s “Wild Learning” student adventures break out of the classroom and into the world of the great outdoors. This high-octane educational adventure package takes students on a whirlwind journey to an exotic destination where they are challenged to think, act, work together as a team, and become good global citizens.

Our student program offers experiential learning to heighten self-awareness, survival, and leadership skills. From cruising on elephants, to abseiling down waterfalls, to zipping through trees, students will be presented with individual and group challenges for which they must push the limits of their strength, endurance, and creativity. In addition to leadership & problem-solving skills, students will be challenged to think about wider ethical questions on topics ranging from climate change to indigenous rights. Students will be coached and asked to reflect together, and will also be encouraged to keep a personal journal to cement their learning and record their tantalizing experiences.

In the end, our participants come away from their travel learning to be responsible explorers and responsible citizens: traveling with a light footprint, respecting the local cultures, and having increased open-mindedness to new experiences and new perspectives. In addition to being more environmentally and socially conscious, students also walk away more confident in themselves and in their ability to think and act "outside the box".

Wild Guanabana’s Wild Learning aims to instill a passion for life-long learning that bridges what they learn in the classroom, with the challenges they face in their day-to-day lives. Beyond repetition and regurgitation, students will be challenged to connect ideas and connect with each other, as they venture on an ultimate life-changing adventure.
