The Top 6 Most AWESOME Movies to Inspire the Adventurer in You!

WG Team - Aug 8, 2016

1)The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

Here’s another quit-my-office-job-pack-a-bag-and-leave movie. Okay fine we know there’s a trend here, but it’s not our fault everyone’s strapped to their screens all the time. And of course, we aren’t suggesting that you leave civilization behind, because the world is too beautiful to be seen through a looking glass. We are absolutely not encouraging you to go off on an adventure, take on the world, quite your mind and find your true calling. If we hypothetically are though, we’d start by saying “Do you like your adventures sunny side up?”

2)The Motorcycle Diaries

This film can practically be the official sponsor to our brand. The “Life changing Journey” of Che Gevara, that has prompted him to become the international humanitarian icon he was, started with a journey around the world. And because we can't emphasize enough in the ability of travel to transform you to the best version of yourself, we’ll leave you to watch the movie and decide for yourself.

3) Wild

When one goes into nature to escape, that is valid, but when one goes into nature to heal, that is the rawest form of life. This movie is an adaptation of a book that Cheryl strayed wrote after finishing her 1,100 mile trek across the pacific crest trail. On losing herself to her mother’s tragic death and cocaine addiction, she walks on a therapeutic journey towards redemption and self-forgiveness.

4) Tracks

This film tells the incredible true story of Robyn Davidson, a young woman who in 1977 undertook a perilous solo trek across 1,700 miles of stunning Australian outback. With only her dog and four unpredictable camels for company, she embarks on an inspiring and life changing journey of self-discovery.

5) Into the wild

What would it take for you to cut up all your credit cards, burn all your money, pack a bag and go on the adventure of a lifetime? Driving, trekking, and hiking across the United States Christopher Mccandless abandoned life of civilization to live off the land.Though he met a tragic end, this is one of our all-time favorite adventure classics.

6) One week

Though we’d hate for you to settle for one week, but because a week of adventure is better than nothing, we’ll settle for a compact experience of what it’s like to devour your own culture, and appreciate that you don’t have to go very far to be able to admire and explore.
