Geography

Kenya shares a border with Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzania, Somalia and has a coast on the Indian Ocean. Home to one of the richest agricultural areas in Africa, The Kenyan Highlands. Also home to Mount Kenya, the highest peak in Kenya and the second highest in Africa.

History

Home to the Massai people who inhabited the area in the 18th century. Although human history in Kenya dates back millions of years - some of the earliest fossilized hominids were found by Richard Leakey there.

Culture

Kenya has a very diverse community of people that come from 45 different ethnic groups, each group has its own unique language, culture and native foods. English and Swahili are Kenya’s official languages.

Attractions

Kenya is well-known for its national parks and reserves, but a few really stand out: Nairobi National Park, Tsavo National Park and Masai Mara National Reserve. Wildlife is abundant - zebras and wildebeests migrate through every year, alongside the greatest bird spectacle on earth witnessing millions of flamingos all at once.
